Where Strong is better

  • Android. Strong runs on Android phones too. Setlist is iPhone and Apple Watch only. Google Play
  • A long record. Strong has been on the App Store since 2011. Setlist is new. App Store
  • A large following. Over 100,000 App Store ratings, averaging 4.9. App Store
  • The watch on its own. Strong's watch app logs without your iPhone nearby. App Store
  • Logging and little else. "Think less. Lift more." Fewer screens to learn. strong.app

Where Setlist is different

  • It reads your log against a named method. After Finish, each lift shows where it stands in its rep range, by double progression. How Setlist reads
  • No language model reads your training. Every reading is a fixed rule over your own log.
  • Programs in training blocks. Settle in, Build, Peak, then a lighter week, built for your days, time and gym.
  • Trainers and physical therapists. Your trainer assigns sessions and sees what you did beside the plan.
  • Your log in your iCloud. No account needed. Body measurements and Apple Health data never leave your iPhone.
  • No free caps on logging. Sessions, custom exercises and history have no limit.

Moving across

Export your data from Strong as CSV. App Store Open the file in Setlist and review every name before anything is saved.

Sets, weights, reps, warm-up, drop and failure sets, and RPE come across. Strong exports no routines, so sessions are rebuilt from your recent workouts.
